Recovering this thread, one year later... Maintaining the website seems to take more time than there is, and it is an yearly, burdensome task. Why not simplify things and make www.documentfreedom.org redirect to the (user-maintained) wiki.documentfreedom.org? On Wed, Mar 23, 2022 at 2:37 PM Marcos Marado <mindboosternoori@gmail.com> wrote:
Hi there,
https://www.documentfreedom.org currently claims that DFD 2022 is going to be on March 30 (in one week), but the event registration link is pointing to the wrong place, the list of events points to the map site (only ready for 2018 and previous years). If there is interest in having this event being celebrated this year, I'd suggest (since we're so close to the date) just removing the obsolete links from the website, and instead point directly to the wiki ( https://wiki.documentfreedom.org/2022 could be created). If there's interest on this, I can submit pull requests changing the website's code as long as it is made available; and I'm also volunteering to create and manage the necessary wiki pages, from now until and during the day.
If there is interest just for the wiki part (for eg. no easy way to share the website code), I can also go ahead and do it, but I'd rather have some feedback on this here, first.

Saludos Cordiales

Hello everyone, I am noticing that the page https://www.documentfreedom.org/ has not been updated since 2018, I do not know the reasons that it is paralyzed, but it would be good to put together a working group again to reactivate the "Day of Free Document ". It would be interesting to hear suggestions and recommendations to activate Document Freedom Day again.
I agree with you on reviving documentfreedom.org.
If it has reached to its goal, then it should be informed to the public. Otherwise, we should revive it. I think we need to educate people and governments to move towards Open Document Formats. We had small program two years ago in Iran. But we were the only one who did it. At least there was no post on social media about any group having any program on that day.
We need a better way of communication. It is hard for me to track topics on mailing list.
