The problem is exactly for the users of the region that we are speaking. Not alone they are excluded, it will also hinder them to be. So much for people of the the organizing teams, like to the public of SFD. We speak of people of the countries of:
Costa Rica El Salvador Guatemala Honduras Nicaragua Panamá
Peter,
nobody is excluded.
Here is Panama: http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/2010/NorthAmerica/Panama Guatemala: http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/2010/SouthAmerica/Guatemala
Every team and every country is welcome. If by the above definition some are North America and others are South America, this does not mean the can not participate in the same event, which is the SFD, dont you think?
Its the people and not the continents, who organize the events. And every team gets our support, even if it would be in Antarctica or a space station.

Thilo, I understand that this year there is a lot of work. Alone we hope for the 2011 we can have America like 1 single continent. Thank you for so good work in the wiki. Regards, Peter
