hehe.. that's a good one. In fact the website countdown if I remember correctly is set to make the difference with a SFD at midnight (so very early morning on the 21st) in Dallas where our server is located (thank you again Linode). The png countdowns are set to... everyone liking, that is you decide where your SFD event is going to happen based on your timezone. And then again as specified in the countdown source code page http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/CountDown/code we count SFD to be on 21st but starting at 3am which could explain for another time difference. Now if you get back to us with very specific data to be able to calculate the real time difference between the two then maybe we can comment upon your statement. At this stage we don't have enough information to fix anything though. :) Also since the website countdown is inside the page you can also get the source code from what is displayed and check by yourself if there is (or not) a bug in the calculation. I hope I have provided enough information for you to ponder on the topic. Thanks. Fred On 07/24/2013 06:32 PM, Edmund Laugasson wrote:
Hi!
When I look at main page http://www.softwarefreedomday.org/ I see 58 days but when I use one of the countdown banners from http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/CountDown then I see 59 days. I counted from calendar and 58 is correct - 59th day is already 21th September - the event itself.
Can it <http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/CountDown/code> be fixed?
