Dear all,
It is with great pleasure that we're launching a redesign of our
webiste. The wiki remains unchanged but the hit page of
www.softwarefreedomday.org will now welcome new visitors with a much
more engaging message, hopefully enticing them to join your events
and/or do something about the celebration.
The site also features a redesigned team map which makes it a lot more
integrated into the overall browsing experience (still need to
converted 2005 and 2006 map data), a feed to our mailing list (the
discussion one), a blog for board members to better keep everyone up to
date.
you'll notice as well that the SFD 2010 competition has been announced
and we're quite proud to have 3 MakerBots (YEAH!) to offer to the
winning teams. So get your cameras, videos cameras, bloggers,
micro-bloggers and everybody else ready to document your event. The
competition rules have as well been published. There might be a few
slight changes but it's basically similar every year.
Last but not least the 2009 competition results will be announced in
the coming hours and those teams did the hell of a job! An inspiration
for all of us!
Thanks for everyone who has helped to make this happen. Please report
any dead link or issue with the site on the sfd-discuss mailing list.
Thank you and happy SFD!
