I did a showing of it once. I contacted the producer, and he allowed it as long as I donated all of the proceeds to charity. (EFF and FSF) That being said, it is copyrighted, and permission must be granted to do a showing. Also, as great as the documentary is, it is a bit dated. More time has passed since the documentary was filmed than the amount of time that it covers. On Fri, Sep 20, 2013 at 9:01 PM, Alexandro Colorado <jza@oooes.org> wrote:

Hello fellas!
Just a quick doubt. We have planned to have a show of Free Culture Films where these three movies will be screened. 1) Sintel 2) Big Buck Bunny 3) Revolution OS
Is it illegal to have a Revolution OS[1] show at SFD ?

According to the author, RevolutionOS is **NOT** a CC movie, you are welcome to purchase it, and screen it. Not sure if there is a digital form to pay for it without the DVD.
Here is the interview with the RevOS guy stating this: http://tllts.org/audio/tllts_180-02-21-07.mp3
