We're getting ready to run a SFD event in Cleveland, we expect about 250 folks to attend. So we're looking for CDs. I don't mind paying for them. Anyone know where I can get some from? ----- Original Message ---- From: Janet Hawtin <lucychili@gmail.com> To: Open discussions about SFD <sfd-discuss@sf-day.org> Sent: Wednesday, July 23, 2008 6:48:46 PM Subject: Re: [SFD-discuss] "Promotional educational material" stickers on the pack for duty issues we also had this happen in adelaide for a run of ubuntu cds. we had to pay duty on what the customs people decided they were worth. perhaps something about them being for a community event might help. janet On Thu, Jul 24, 2008 at 2:41 AM, shirish <shirishag75@gmail.com> wrote:
Hi all, When you are sending the packages specifically to developing countries like India, please make sure to mark them as something like this :-
"this pack contains only promotional material that has no commercial value and no duty or tax should be charged on this" .
This would make sure that there would be no duty/tax payable by the teams.
