
Mmm... I really enjoy the simplicity of CSV when parsing open datasets. For commenting, I enjoy using MarkDown (though I'm not really sure that's an open standard - though it factually is) LibreOffice is my go-to for everything document related. I've got word that FreeCAD is looking to better document their file format so other CAD software can also implement that. Looking forward to see that format propagate...
