Today's Free Software sharing topic, what's your favorite FLOSS media player? Do you prefer vlc, mplayer, mpc, xine, smplayer, kodi? Have another program you'd recommend?
I've been a regular user of xine and vlc, but later and for many years mplayer. Recently I switched to mpv, a "more modern" mplayer, compatible with the 'old mplayer' but with a faster paced development and new features, particularly useful for streaming use cases. mpv is the new mplayer :-) https://mpv.io/ -- ~marado
