What I&#39;d love to see is a set of consistent materials for the talks at events.<br><br>Every year Microsoft gets all their MVPs together and works out the messages they&#39;ll be sending out for the next twelve months. Every year SFD event visitors are given inconsistent explanations of the concepts behind SFD, FOSS, GNU/Linux etc.
<br><br>I&#39;m not saying we need to formalise a propoganda machine, but the success at which MS manages to get its message across should be a good indication that a consistent message is a successful one. If we had, say, a set of community developed slideshows to use during the event, and we spoke based on the points on those slideshows, we&#39;d probably manage to educate the public much better.
<br><br>We&#39;ve got some resources for SFD events as it is, we just don&#39;t formally have one set of notes and discussion points we&#39;re going to use for our events.<br><br>Comments?<br><br><div class="gmail_quote">
