Hi LM and all,

Thanks for the reminder about Software Freedom Day 2026. I haven’t thought much about it yet, but I have decided to attempt a local celebration again this year.

On permacomputing, I love the concept. I’m a novice practitioner of permaculture, and I’ve previously gleaned concepts from it and holistic land management and applied them to organizational management. I then found the writing of the late Carol Sanford and regenerative business management. The push for a circular economy and less waste in general align perfectly with this ideology.

One thing I noticed after reviewing the link you shared was that the concepts are very broad, similar to permaculture. There isn’t a “one size fits all” solution; it takes time and careful observation to implement correctly. Great share, thanks again!

Take Care Now,

Zac
