Or are we wrong to think every one has a stick with him/her?
For all SFD exhibitors willing to set up in a shopping precinct/ mall, There's shops who could sell individual visitors a stick. That would encourage every shop that sells stick to support an application from an SFD group, for a free stand space in the mall. SFD exhibitors would approach shop owners in advance & tell them that each shop selling sticks & supporting the application would get a coloured dot on a map taped to the SFD table for visitors to see. Shopping mall owners wanting to increase visitor numbers would be keen. Visitors would get told: If you have a _completely_empty_ stick at least X gig, we can copy it now. If you don't have a stick, buy from any shop with a coloured dot on map, & come back in a few minutes. ( That gets rid of random wasters & scroungers who would hang around, distract &/or waste exhibitors time & pick up free media & not use it.) It would not help those (like our previous Munich SFDs) not near shops selling USB sticks, eg in an office block, technical college etc. Cheers, Julian -- Julian Stacey, BSD Unix Linux C Sys Eng Consultant, Munich http://berklix.com Reply below not above, like a play script.
