Hiya!

Thanks for the reminder. I was just researching what we could do here in Central Illinois for HFD.

I was hoping to do something at the college I’m attending but it’s getting a bit late.

Is anyone privy to any easy open hardware projects we could use that teach about the importance of open and free hardware? One I found was a flashlight made from an old lip balm/chap stick tube. Unfortunately, I’m late to the game, and would need to source parts. Not to mention I’d like to build it at least once before helping others.

Thanks & Take Care Now,
Zac

It's hard to believe that Hardware Freedom Day (
https://digitalfreedoms.org/en/hfd ) is less than a week away on April
19th, 2025.  Will you be attending a Hardware Freedom Day event this
year, either in person or online?  What are some of your favorite Open
Hardware projects?  We'll be sharing some of our favorites on April
19th, 2025.  Please help us celebrate Hardware Freedom Day 2025 by
sharing posts and articles about Open Hardware and #HFD2025 via social
media, personal web sites and blogs.  Thank you and have a wonderful
Hardware Freedom Day 2025.
