I look at the photos from all the wonderful SFD events around the globe and I am proud to have been a small part of it. However I was feeling a bit bummed about our low turnout in comparison to other places - we had 14 people. Then my wife pointed out that as Copley has a permament population of 102 people we actually got 13.725% of the population - that seems like a very respectable figure :) One of the biggest reasons I hear from people against switching to Linux is the lack of games, so we had a networked Battle for Wesnoth tournament - which the gamers *loved*. The impact was somewhat diminished when I could give them a windows copy to take home, but meh, it's still FOSS. Anyway my idea is that next year we have an international BfW tournament. Anyone out there feel they could take on the might of the Copley Crew? We can talk details when we start gearing up for next year, just thought I'd float the idea while I'm thinking about it in case I forget and someone else remembers - and to give would-be challengers time to practice :p - Noven -- ---
