It would be nice to see the event list for 2020 available and a mention of what events are online so people in other areas could join in on those events as well. My biggest problem this year is that I have another engagement on the same day and it can't be moved. I'm wondering if I could celebrate SFD on another date in September or if I'll just have to wait until next year.
A minority of places globaly use different dates for local reasons, eg: { Munich Germany 2010, used the standard global SFD date, & collided with the opening day of http://Oktoberfest.de, O'fest in 2010 sucked in 6.4m visitors over 2 weeks, congesting transport. Saturday 18th September 2010 http://www.berklix.org/sfd/2010.html http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/2010/Europe/Germany/Muenchen In Munich 2011 we moved our SFD to 22nd October 2011 to not clash with Oktoberfest http://www.berklix.org/sfd/ https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oktoberfest#Termine/%C3%96ffnungszeiten O fest 2010 18. Sep. bis 4. Okt. O fest 2011 17. Sep. bis 3. Okt. } Cheers -- Julian Stacey, Consultant Sys.
