Hi!

That sounds like a very good idea. Bangalore has always been a very active area in Free Software development with some ups and downs depending on the years to gather with its communities.

You could take a look at the SFD wiki previous years as people have organized events and I am sure they would be happy to join again. Likewise I have been a GNOME Foundation members for some time and met people from Bangalore at IBM and Red Hat who would probably be happy to join as well. So I think it's definitely a great place to get an event and reach out to people who would love to hear more about Free Software and its potentials.
