Thanks Bas I converted that list to HTML http://www.berklix.org/sfd/2011_netherlands.html Though it needs a few corrections from you, see each place marked XXX.
I have tried copying it into Wiki, but the Wiki keeps breaking as before.
I cant get the hang of / don't like this Wiki in GUI mode except for trivial changes, so I'm using it in Source mode, as I read HTML better :-)
One reason I put the data here temporarily http://www.berklix.org/sfd/2011_netherlands.html was to enable me to run tidy -i -m to ensure perfect HTML (no missing " in href etc), before I then pasted the HTML.
The wiki needs to be fixed. "Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@localhost" shows it is mis-configured.
Cheers, Julian Hi!
I also exclusively use the source mode.
Good to know :-)
I saw you did some successful edits today so I am a bit confused: is it still 500'ing on you,
Yes it is failing
or is it working?
No, not working except for really small edits.
Thanks.
Fred
I did do some succesfull small edits somehow, (& some unsuccesful) but the text I committed wasn't good enough so I deleted my changes & tried to prepare a set off line to paste in, & completely failed, with eg ============= http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/Resources/Lectures#preview ---- Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Apache/2.2.14 Server at wiki.softwarefreedomday.org Port 80 ============== While writing this I've been experimenting seeiing if I can paste in single lines. Its real tedious but works. I think Ive found the problem: Pasting in this fails: ------- <li>OSEPA: Open Source software usage by European Public Administrations<br> <i>xxx (Missing URL in posting.)</i></li> ------- Pasting in this succeeds: <li>OSEPA: Open Source software usage by European Public Administrations <i>xxx (Missing URL in posting.)</i></li> ------ Maybe the wiki is being super fussy about not seeing a matching </br> ? Whatever, it still shouldnt bleat about localhost. PS I have also been deleting some "<br />" it (SFD wiki) generated. I certainly never wrote that & neither did the tidy program, it either came from paste mechanism or from wiki.
