The Computer Professionals' Union (CP-Union) here in the Philippines started already a FOSS @ schools programme.

Yesterday, we introduced FOSS to about 1,500 students of a local university. We had 4 sessions on Ubuntu desktop Introduction, Openoffice.Org introduction and CMS (drupal and Joomla)  for the students.

the software freedom day organized by CP-Union has been focused to students and enthusiasts. This year, we have invited high schools and universities teaching it-related courses to join us on the event.

It is our view that more than pushing foss to businesses, the real progress and success of FOSS relies on the youth and students.

Nobody knows who will win this fight, because the outcome depends on you and the readers. Will you fight for freedom? Will you reject Windows and MacOS and other non-free software, and switch to GNU/Linux? Or will you be too lazy to resist?
