Dear Dillo developers, First of all, I want to thank you for the great web browser dillo is: it is very fast, has most of the features I want and the rendering is improving greatly (I am using hg version currently). I would like to use dillo to view web pages written in chinese and also pages written in french. Currently, I cannot do both. To view web pages in chinese, I set the following fonts in my .dillo/dillorc: font_serif="WenQuanYi Bitmap Song" font_sans_serif="WenQuanYi Bitmap Song" The problem is that french characters like ?, ? or ? are not displayed with this font. To view web pages in french, I set the following fonts: font_serif="DejaVu Serif" font_sans_serif="DejaVu Sans" But then, chinese characters are displayed as empty squares. Is there a way to read both languages in the same instance of dillo? Thanks, Christophe
Dear users, I answer to myself as I think it can help other people too. I found a font that renders well both chinese characters and french characters like ?, ? or ?. It is called wenquanyi-microhei and can be downloaded on http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/wqy/wqy-microhei. After the installation is complete, change the values of font_serif and font_sans_serif in your ~/.dillo/dillorc: font_serif="??????" font_sans_serif="??????" Save, then start a new instance of dillo. Christophe
