Using Dillo as google search frontend.
Hello. What I want to do is like this. 1. Googling with Dillo. 2. Then, a search result screen comes. 3. When click a result, firefox starts and shows the page. What I want? I want to google with a very fast browser(= dillo), but browse other pages with full browser with plugins(=Firefox). Is this possible? --- Okajima, Jun. Tokyo, Japan.
This old mail can be interesting for you: http://lists.auriga.wearlab.de/pipermail/dillo-dev/2003-January/000078.html External donloader is now unecesary, but it took me 5 minutes to update and test. Updated and corrected patch in the atachment May be a page with list of dillo pathes can be usefull. Diego. El Sun, 05 Mar 2006 01:09:52 +0900 Jun OKAJIMA <okajima@digitalinfra.co.jp> escribio:

I can't speak for the original poster, but I'm sure I'd like it. Otoh, patches are beyond my grasp of linux, and I didn't see anything in dillorc that looked relevant. Is there a way I can get it? -- Beartooth Staffwright, Neo-Redneck Linux Convert FC4; Pine 4.64, Pan 0.14.2.91; Privoxy 3.0.3; CXO 5.0.1 Galeon 2.0.0, Dillo 0.8.5, Opera 8.51, Firefox 1.0.7 Remember I have little idea what I am talking about.

i think you just have to put the patch in the appropriate place and then recompile and reinstall dillo, much as you would change a toolbar. mike
A pair of links about hot to apply a patch http://64.233.179.104/search?q=cache:q9bCtwG2WB4J:www.math.washington.edu/~chappa/pine/faq/basic.html+how+to+apply+a+patch&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&ie=UTF-8 http://www.network-theory.co.uk/articles/patchintro.html $man patch help a lot too (RTFM :P) About dillorc: you need to add the pref symbol that old mail say to dillorc to get run the program you want (default is mozilla). And the "open in external browser" is in the page options menu. Diego. El Sat, 4 Mar 2006 16:26:36 -0500 mike obrien <greypins@nc.rr.com> escribio:
