I figured this was due to my linkEmitter code, but it turned out to be a selection thing. Starting selection by clicking on the empty cell wasn't working either. Johannes: You know iterators and highlighting far better than I do; what do you think of the following? I don't really know what to be careful about with all of that. What I have just changes the if (words->size () == 0) case in sendSelectionEvent(), plus empty-textblock tests for highlighting to keep queueDrawRange() from getting unhappy.
