How soon is Dillo to have download progress indication?
How soon is Dillo expected to have some sort of download progress indicator? My primary use of a browser is searching for and downloading software.

Not sure. In the meantime, you could try using wget from the command line, (copy the URL you want to download in to a wget command line), or have a look at the links browser project, which has a download manager: http://atrey.karlin.mff.cuni.cz/~clock/twibright/links John.

What I usually do (not only with dillo, also with galeon), is wget -i /dev/tty This lets you cut and paste more than one url. When all urls are there, press ctrl-D, and wget begins to download. Frank

Thanks to all who replied. I also have links installed, but I much prefer the look of Dillo. I can and do, of course, download http links with Dillo; I am just not sure when it is finished. It's certainly not a show stopper. I was just curious. Thanks again.

It could have been sometime ago, but nobody has started coding it yet (with dpi). It somewhat surprises me, as everything is ready to start doing it, I even gave some guidelines in the project notes page... Well, if nobody feels confident enough to start, it'll have to wait until I have sometime to do it, and probably the order would be: SSL, FTP, downloads. You may use wget (as suggested in the help page) in the meantime. Cheers Jorge.-
