Logging in on certain sites
Hi all, Hope this is the correct place for this. Certainly enjoy using Dillo, can't wait for later versions to come out. Am I missing something or will this not work in Dillo. If I want to post at http://bsdforums.org I first sign in, then I go to post but I am told I am not signed in. This is also the case with trying to log into http://my.yahoo.com Just wondering if I am overlooking something or if this is not capable with Dillo. Thanks!! -- Pete http://milneweb.com http://nomorevirus.com

I guess it is a problem with cookies. Try to terminate all dillos, enable cookies in ~/.dillo/cookiesrc and try again to log into these sites Greetings Andreas Kemnade
Is this an issue with cookies? Edit ~/.dillo/cookiesrc and add the domains in question to ACCEPT. Todd On Tue, May 13, 2003 at 12:26:48PM -0600, Peter Milne wrote:

What configuration do you have in your ~/.dillo/cookiesrc for these sites ? I have noticed this behaviour when specifying ACCEPT instead of ACCEPT_SESSION, but I am not really sure where this may come from. HTH Fred

This is most likely because of the server sending an Expires attribute that is malformed. What happens is that ACCEPT_SESSION makes this server misbehaviour being ignored. Bug or feature? You decide! ;-) Cheers, Jörgen

ACCEPT_SESSION does not work at my.yahoo.com. I see at the bottom "unsupported protocol". On bsdforums.org it allows me to log in but if I try to post it asks for my name and passwd again. I give that and it still wont work.....oh well. -- Pete http://milneweb.com http://nomorevirus.com

try to add a .to the start of the domains: DEFAULT ACCEPT .yahoo.com ACCEPT .bsdforums.org ACCEPT at least yahoo uses several servers (and cookies), you need permission for all of then (works for me) the bsdforum, check in mozilla or konqueror (or lynx) for waht cookies they are setting, and from where have fun higuita -- Naturally the common people don't want war... but after all it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. I'm having the same problem. I already tried: my.yahoo.com ACCEPT .yahoo.com ACCEPT yahoo.com ACCEPT in all these configurations, dillo always returns: ERROR: unsupported protocol. On Wed, 14 May 2003 02:51:56 +0100 higuita <higuita7@yahoo.co.uk> wrote:

arent you trying to loggin with https?! you cant do that, you must login with plain http i cant remember what i have done, but AFAIR, i only choose the nom-https connection and the option "remember me" you can also try to copy the auth cookie for yahoo from konqueror or mozilla good luck higuita -- Naturally the common people don't want war... but after all it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Did you try that with Yahoo? Because Yahoo uses javascript to create the login page. I think that's the reason it doesn't work as it should! On Wed, 14 May 2003 04:19:56 +0100 higuita <higuita7@yahoo.co.uk> wrote:

yep, when i enter yahoo, it show up my username, on geocities i'm able to edit my pages

humm... maybe they changed this? if i do logout, i'm unable to login again... so you can workaround this with this hack: login with mozilla or something that writes the cookies to a file copy&paste the yahoo cookies to the dillo cookies file and edit then to have the same format save and run a first instance of dillo (so cookies work) enter yahoo and you should already be logged in and works in any yahoo network site isn't perferct, but it works 8) higuita -- Naturally the common people don't want war... but after all it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship.
