I'd apply them now but am unsure only about the first. Let's see what Sebastian thinks of this bunch.

I've committed and pushed them all.

As for the first patch, this is a simple update. I'm running version 1.8.1.2, but Jeremy's update with version 1.8.9.1, which adds some more options, does not cause problems for me.
