I compiled and ran it on Debian Squeeze and Scientific Linux 6 without problems. Even the installation of the hyphenation pattern files works fine on these operating systems.

However, there is no remark about the installation of the hyphenation pattern files in README or INSTALL. Since some users might not know this new feature, I guess many will not install the pattern files. So, I recommend to add an example call of `dillo-install-hyphenation' to the "Dillo 3" section in README.
