I got around to trimming it down to a small example of brokenness (attached). Interestingly, the "10000" protrudes out of the left end of the table on firefox, which suggests there might be something wrong about this page in a way that I'm not immediately grasping. (Although it's nicer to think that firefox is buggy.)
