Is there any reason not to shorten them to fltk*.o?
Two I can think of: 1. The current names are correct: libDw_fltk_a-fltk*.o are the *.o files that are used to build libDw_fltk.a, which is the *.a file that implements Dw_fltk, which is the FLTK backend for Dw. 2. The current names are created by automake, so to change them you would have to delve into the guts of automake, which you don't want to do without a really good reason. I understand wanting to shorten bloated file names, but in this case I vote to leave well alone. Regards, Jeremy Henty
