[Dillo-dev]why can dillo be small and fast

Relative to other browsers, why can dillo be small and fast? Can anybody tell me the reason from the viewpoint of design and implementation. The code of dillo is fewer than other larger desktop browser. But fewer code means fewer functions. How to keep balance between the two conflicts? Thank you!
