  I  my  experience  it  is best if you have some code that works
cleanly  and  needs  to be extended, rather than a big cloud that
needs more work.

I agree, but i have that code since a lot of time and prefer to make public than forget it. Another pro is that the next time i work with the code only need to use the patch instead of search the diferents code trees.
